My first fiction assignment of the semester came from my least favorite professor, so this might have colored my initial impression of the so-called “micronovel.” A micronovel, he said, should be a short story comprised of several scenes short enough to text someone (although, I think he was flying fast and loose with ‘short enough to text,’ because we were not limited to 140 characters).
